Mr. Johnson brings to us a wide range of educational and experiential qualifications which enhances our ability to be a full service law firm. He has practiced and lived in many countries enabling him to service the needs of our clients both in the United States and abroad. Mr. Johnson is a member of the Bars of the State of New York, US Federal Court, Southern District, US Federal Court, Eastern District, US 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals, US Supreme Court and US Court of International Trade.
Mr. Johnson’s work experience has also created an expertise in many areas that we may offer our clients. Since 1997 he has been managing partner of the Law Offices of Jeffrey D. Johnson specializing in international complex litigation in New York City and international corporate affairs. He was a Law Professor at the National University of Malaysia from 1995 till 1997 lecturing in International Trade Law as well as creating the Faculty of Law’s LL.M and Ph. D programs and designing all course work for the international business field of concentration. During this time he also represented many Malaysian, English and US companies while organizing and running his own company importing and exporting goods. From 1993 to 1995 he was legal counsel in Hong Kong and London, England for Hansard Financial Trust in addition to practicing in Hong Kong as legal counsel for many English and American entities developing factories and businesses in the People’s Republic of China from 1984 till 1986. He was a member of the solicitor firm of Liam Lysaght & Co in Dublin, Ireland in1983 and 1984 handling commercial litigation and Lloyd’s of London international insurance defense litigation.
Over the years Mr. Johnson has been project leader or a member of many legal and business teams developing multimillion dollar projects, the acquisition of licenses and permits and the importation and exportation of goods and commodities. He has completed projects as diverse as the building of airports, construction of oil pipelines, purchase of hotels and the developing of a national communications system to enforcing patent and trademark piracy laws. He has had considerable experience in the People’s Republic of China as well as many Asian and European countries.
