Before coming to the United States , Linfeng Zhou was a graduate history student at Xiamen University in China . He also earned a Master's degree in history before going to law school.

After graduation from law school in 1992, Linfeng Zhou worked as an associate at the Law Offices of Ward, Kaps & Bainbridge in Columbus , Ohio . He also worked as an associate at Becker & Poliakoff, P.A. in Ft. Lauderdale , Florida . He has been practicing law in Florida since 1994. His practice covered a wide area, including business/commercial law, immigration law, and commercial litigation. He handled numerous business transactions, business immigration cases, and litigation cases with experience both as plaintiff and defendant counsel. He has rich litigation experience in litigating contract dispute and intellectual property rights dispute cases in both state court and federal court in Florida and Ohio .

Linfeng Zhou is a legal counsel to several major corporations in Florida such as IVAX Corporation, Superior Design of Florida, Inc., Raxell-Sundown, and Beckman Coulter, Inc. He is also legal counsel for the Chinese Association of Science, Economics and Culture of South Florida, the Florida Chinese Federation, and the Contemporary Chinese School of South Florida .
