CNT delegation visits the United States

A delegation of CNT, one of our major clients, arrived in New York City on December 10, 2003. The delegation’s mission was to meet with the National Association of Attorneys General and Attorneys General from various states to learn about the United States' current tobacco laws, regulations and enforcement measures such as the Masters Settlement Agreement (MSA) and State Escrow Statutes.

Since CNT is an administrative agency that carries out the policies concerning the tobacco industry in China, this trip was undoubtedly necessary step for CNT as Chinese tobacco companies are emerging as a major player in the global market.

The delegates were pleased with the outcome of the trip and said that “they had learnt a lot in a very short period of time and that a substantial report will be collated when they arrive back home”.

It was not all about work for CNT though. They thoroughly enjoyed the sights in New York City, the Broadway and not to mention the many night spots our City has to offer!
