Mr. Darcy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard University, and he served as the editor-in-chief of Volume 16 of the Harvard Journal of Law & Technology.

​

Mr. Darcy has a diverse background in law and politics. From 2018 to 2022, he served as the Mayor of Cupertino, California, and in 2009, he was a member of the Cupertino City Council and the Director of the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Darcy's legal experience includes various civil litigations such as patent litigation, securities fraud litigation, and employment discrimination litigation. He has also been involved in numerous business transactions, including the establishment of investment funds and corporate acquisitions. Additionally, he is well-versed in startup law, particularly in private transactions and venture capital.

​

Mr. Darcy represented Santa Cruz Biotechnology as a defendant in a patent infringement lawsuit and successfully negotiated a settlement with the plaintiff. He also defended AMIC Technology in an ITC patent infringement action involving tungsten metalized semiconductor chips, eventually negotiating a favorable settlement. Moreover, he played a key role in defending Amgen Inc. in a patent lawsuit, protecting over $2 billion in annual drug sales. Additionally, he served as the lead attorney for the plaintiff in a securities fraud litigation, successfully recovering a confidential settlement payment.
